1. Who performs the 1/M during approach to critical? Operators or REs? a. Reactor Engineers. 2. Are the RE's an integral member of the team or in an oversite role (review ECCs and 1/M's)? a. Integral team member. 3. Who performs the ECC (ECP), RE or the STA or the SRO? a. Normally Reactor Engineering, if time allows Operations does as well. 4. Who reviews the ECC, (ECP), RE or the STA or the SRO? a. Reactor Engineering always does, if time allows Operations does as well. 5. How many people HAVE to review the ECC? a. Two, plus approval by an SRO. 6. Does Ops assign a reactivity management SRO to major reactivity changes (SU, maneuver up and down, 75% and back to 100%? a. Yes. 7. Are all Rx start ups IPTE's (Infrequently Performed Test or Evolutions)? a. Yes. 8. How many plants have pre-developed reactivity plans (ReMA's) in the control room for rapid downpowers? a. Waterford has them as Reactivity Management Worksheets - not detailed plans just general boron/rods/water. 9. How often are they updated? a. Monthly 10. Are recurring work orders "flagged" electronically to alert the operators to evolutions that may impact reactivity management? a. Yes. 11. Does RE and Ops meet after RM evolutions for a post job critique? a. Occasionally, mostly just done as a discussion in the Control Room afterwards. 12.
