Carl - we have nothing formal.  Sounds like we have similar qualitative opinions - e.g. are the core pins (pads) visible, can you easily see the serial number, etc.

Does your station have water clarity or lighting standards for core inspections? (FOSARs, alignment checks, ID verifications, etc.) At Oconee Nuclear Station we only have qualitative standards (procedure and PJB directs the inspector to ensure there is adequate clarity and lighting).
