Action Levels - Based upon Noble Gas Data
Fort Calhoun Station Reactor Engineering is looking to
improve our Failed Fuel Action Plan (FFAP) by utilizing Noble Gas values as the
basis for our Action levels.
Our current FFAP utilizes historic values of coolant
activity and dose equivalent iodine. Because of our history with failed fuel
(early 2000’s) and our current status over the last 5 cycles (No fuel
failures), the values we use for determining action levels are now
non-conservative.
