Fermi 2 currently does not include Station Nuclear Engineers in requalification training. It was found to have little value to SNE's since the simulator does not provide core conditions. No way to run predictors or actual 3DM cases.

[Respvr] Question on SOER 07-01 Reactivity Management

I’m looking for some info on how everyone else is addressing the simulator training recommendation in the subject SOER. Specifically, the bullet in the recommendation says:

Reactor Engineers participate in simulator training with shift operating crews at least once per refueling cycle or at least once every two years.

Will your site credit Just In Time Training (JITT) opportunities to meet this or just simulator scenarios as part of the Operator Training program?

I’ll compile individual results and send it out for everyone.

Thanks,

Carl
