Carl,
Refueling SRO and RE ultimately determine
if clarity is acceptable, which is obviously a little bit subjective. Our
procedure states for offload, we need to see the top nozzles and for reload we
need to see the alignement pins on the lower core plate. We have no stated
clarity requirements for FOSAR or fuel inspections.

Subject: [Respvr] Water Clarity and Lighting Standards for Core
Inspections
Does your station have water clarity or lighting standards
for core inspections? (FOSARs, alignment checks, ID verifications, etc.) At
Oconee Nuclear Station we only have qualitative standards (procedure and PJB
directs the inspector to ensure there is adequate clarity and lighting).
Thanks,
Carl
