I was asked to do a little electronic benchmarking related to your Reactivity Management Oversight Committee meetings.
1) How frequently do you meet; (What is required? Monthly? Quarterly? Semi-Annually?
2) What level of your organization is the meeting focused? Working level (Supervisors)? Middle Management (Department Heads/ Managers)? Senior Management (Division/Director)?
3) What is the required attendance? Is there a quorum?
4) What functional areas are required / represented? Operations, Engineering (Systems, Design, Programs, Reactor), Work Management, Maintenance, RP, Chemistry, Licensing?
5) What agenda items are required? Performance Indicator(s)? Corrective Action Program? Deficient Equipment?
6) Are there any specific goals for the committee? Performance improvement targets;
7) Are any of Reactivity Management goals forward looking?

Joe,
We recently looked at this for our RMRT. This is a summary that was done based on benchmarking through the ops group and may help you with what you are looking for.
I'll add Surry specific answers/clarification below.

I was asked to do a little electronic benchmarking related to your Reactivity Management Oversight Committee meetings.
1) How frequently do you meet; (What is required? Monthly? Quarterly? Semi-Annually? Monthly. The actual requirement is periodically based on ops manager discretion.
2) What level of your organization is the meeting focused? Working level (Supervisors)? Middle Management (Department Heads/ Managers)? Senior Management (Division/Director)? It varies by meeting, but we typically have supervisors or designees (every meeting), managers and a director fairly often, but we have had the Site VP attend as well. The ops manager or designee is always the chair.
3) What is the required attendance? Is there a quorum? The site and fleet quorums are in the attachment.
4) What functional areas are required / represented? Operations, Engineering (Systems, Design, Programs, Reactor), Work Management, Maintenance, RP, Chemistry, Licensing? The attachment shows the quorum, but the invitation is sent to more than the quorum. However, if the team needs a presentation from a particular group (maybe for a response to an issue) that group/person is added as a required attendee.
5) What agenda items are required? Performance Indicator(s)? Corrective Action Program? Deficient Equipment? We always grade the previous month CRs for the KPI, review OE, review the previous minutes and previous action items; things can be added to the agenda as needed. There's also an open discussion to bring up important items for team awareness. We will also review any reactivity maneuvers, RM design changes, temp mods, etc.
6) Are there any specific goals for the committee? Performance improvement targets; Recently we worked on attendance, meeting efficiency (length and content), and meeting action item timeliness.
7) Are any of Reactivity Management goals forward looking? Early identification of RM trends (station and fleet).
