Refueling SRO and RE ultimately determine if clarity is acceptable, which is obviously a little bit subjective. Our procedure states for offload, we need to see the top nozzles and for reload we need to see the alignement pins on the lower core plate. We have no stated clarity requirements for FOSAR or fuel inspections.

Does your station have water clarity or lighting standards for core inspections? (FOSARs, alignment checks, ID verifications, etc.) At Oconee Nuclear Station we only have qualitative standards (procedure and PJB directs the inspector to ensure there is adequate clarity and lighting).
