At V.C. Summer, we issue four plans to our operators every month. They cover down-powers to 90 ( in 1 hr), 80 (1 hr), 50 (3 hr) and 02 (3 hr) percent. Those are meant for immediate use by operators at any time during their validity period, and are in the station curve book. We use BEACON to generate the plans so we don't track how many load swing calcs we run, but it is generally very few until end of cycle.

At Braidwood we do 22 standard plans, covering load follow situations, as well as emergent ramps (i.e. feed pump trip, heater drain pump trip, Tech Spec shutdown, etc.). These are updated approximately every 6 week to cover 1000 EFPH of burnup at a time.

We utilize BEACON and a spreadsheet, however now that we feel more comfortable with the BEACON results vs actual plant operation, we are transitioning to using BEACON for all reactivity planning.

At South Texas Project we provide seven standard plans and use BEACON to run the load swing calculations. They include down powers to 90% in 1 hr, 80% in 1 hr, 70% in 1 hr, 60% in 1 hr, 60% in 10 minutes, 40% in 2 hrs, and 0% in 3 hrs. These are provided to our operators every 2 to 3 weeks for both units.

BEACON is used to generate six standard cases.. Ramp to 15% power in 7 hours. Ramp to 15% power in 2 hours. Rapid power reduction to 90%, 70%, 50% and 30%.
Specific ramp plans are generated for planned ramps.
How often are standard ramp plans updated at each site? (we do monthly for two of our sites, quarterly at the other two)
Standard ramp plans are valid for 2,000 MWD/MTU (about 48 days).
